Open Alpha, VariabL 2.0 prototype, new VCT landing page…

We have covered a lot of ground since the start of 2018. For this quarterly update, we’re trying a new format: straight-to-the-point news on our product development, photos and links from our local and global appearances, original content from the VariabL team, media mentions, and hiring opportunities.

For those of you who are not yet familiar with what we do, VariabL is leveraging the Ethereum blockchain to offer trustless derivative products, such as stable tokens, which are settled in ether and designed to bring stability to crypto markets.

General News

January Team Sprint:
- Team gathered for three weeks of intensive workshop
- Product, Research, Legal and Marketing updates and alignments
- Roadmap strategic decisions

Moved into new offices!
- The VariabL team gathered in Paris and moved in “Le Marais” with the Consensys French team (check out our picture with Joe below)
- Consensys launch party in Paris! Joseph Lubin called VariabL’s Stabl project the “holy grail of cryptocurrency”

VariabL 1.0
— Open Alpha & current product

- The Open Alpha has been running most of the quarter and is now under maintenance. Our team is working hard on preparing the field for VariabL 2.0 (see below)
- You can still register here, join our slack community, and give feedback to earn contribution tokens(VCT).
- No more trading challenge (for now).

VariabL 2.0:
— Research & next product

- Promising breakthroughs on secure scaling solutions for our derivatives marketplace.
- Applied research on UX and KYC with legal compliance in mind (legal and regulatory update below).
- More sophisticated financial model and products.

VCT Update

- You can still earn VariabL Contribution Tokens by trading on our Open Alpha and giving us feedback! VCT are ERC20 tokens on the Kovan testnet .that are used to coordinate the community around the VariabL project.
- Discover our new dedicated VCT landing page.
- Our contribution model is openly designed, so feel free to be creative with your contributions(and earn VCT by giving your input).
